Gospel

Righteous men fall from thrones
To their knees at the feet of sinners
Only when the water reaches through
Can life surpass the damn of faith

Ghosts

Don't be blinded by the moonlight

Everything under the sun has a shadow

Still we flap our arms to take flight

Only ghosts can walk through walls

Ancient beings encased in stone

Words diminish into ghastly fog

Rain washes the footprints of man

In the end of it all we never existed

Poets

Poets

Going the way of the sword

Extinguished by the march of time

Still some are called to rise

Words

Manipulated by new generations

Where convenience is all that matters

Punctuation and art have long since desolved

Brother

When the brakes give out from underneath,
And the one who has carried you all this time is exhausted.
Picture frames relinquish the nails suspending them on walls.
All I ask is this.
Brother, do not shatter when you fall.

When the crops are under famine after years of dependence,
And even the sun hides itself behind the clouds.
Those who've fed you are starving.
All I ask is this,
Brother, do not shatter when you fall.

And when your heart is in need of rescue and peace,
Everyone is gone and there is solitude.
The world falls down through space freezing like glass.
All I ask is this,
Brother, do not shatter when you fall.

Useless

Pouring sugar on this polluted wasteland
The sunlight reaches into the holes of the mask
False hope to accomplish impossible tasks
This unflinching wheel ignores the dirt underneath

Debate until their lungs are like raisins
Rocky shores await those on the cliffs edge
Hearts cry out in eternal exhaustion
Drowning with unperceivable rescue

Wave

I am but a solemn wave,
on my long venture to the sand.
In this ocean I was erected.
When I reach the beach I’ll fade.

I am but a silent wave,
spectating gulls in search of food.
I leave no mark as I pass underneath,
unnoticed from entrance onward.

I am but a satisfied wave,
as I glimpse upon the shore.
Nothing accomplished on the journey.
In the end I didn’t exist at all.

Utopia

Until the last grain of sand has arrived on the bottom,
Until the sky is devoured whole by the mouth of "progress",
Until the King falls to the earth at the knees of the peasant,
Until the stars in the heavens are eternally extinguished,
There will be no Utopia

Behind The Mask

A land of freedom and liberty,
That's the mask on the monster.
Trade your time for coin and drink!
Work to eat and eat to live,
But why do we live?

Weak bones rattle in the jungle.
Insect death and immune system failure.
The lead produced by freedom,
Finds refuge in the young boys neck!
Are we a land of ignorance?

Gentle doves turn to blind vultures,
A transformation of the soul.
When the victims stands on the edge,
The heart rots to black nothingness!
Feel the killers pulse.

Hikikomori

His heart beats once daily
Finding comfort is isolation
A river of life used to flow here
Now this place is barren

Denying offered hands
Hatred consuming his heart
Escape is unforeseeable
The grave is all but filled

Ending

Falling through the cracks of a dead society of fools
The tired warrior sheathes his sword
The time for bloodshed has expired
Yet the human condition remains a parasite to its host

This vile creature screams in agony
Hate flows through the mans restless soul
Consuming itself from the inside
All that will remain are brittle bones

Prose: Gnawing of Flesh

"We fall away from the truth and seek foolish pleasures.  That is the true essence of man."

It was a dark night.  The storm from earlier that afternoon had all but faded away.  I walked through puddles so black i appeared to be a silhouette in the reflection.  Blood dripped from my sword into the murky puddle below, transforming it like red dye.  Faint screams of terror and anger rung in my ear like mosquitos.  Feelings of regret clawed their way to the surface of my thoughts. I exhaled them with a trembling breath.  "Why?!  Why did it have come to this?!  If only...!!!"  My thoughts raced like mad hordes of buffalo.  On the surface I appeared calm.  Inside I was a pyramid of card surrendering to a unsympathetic north wind.

Fog

We are undeserving of the air we take for granted
This cage we so foolishly named "mother"
Toxic smoke fogs our thoughts and engulfs our third eye
We are alone now, for all the stars have vanished

Metal birds light the melancholic night sky
Barely visible through the eerie fog of ignorance
The fall of man masked by the march of progress
In the end the dark will resemble the beginning

Onward

Whilst the snake sheds it's skin
Leaves crumble and crack
Whilst the bear comatoses
A cloud becomes quiet

Seconds are endlessly fleeting
Slipping from grasp like grease
Illusion fuels the engine of time
The clock tower has fallen

Sanctuary

Welcome to sanctuary.  A place where extremes are absent.  A place of content.  A place of peaceful consideration.  This is the resting place all men unconsciously seek.  It is a place where the mind is still.  This is the true Nirvana.  It is not truly obtainable through substance or wealth.  The road will detour if the seeker tries to travel down it by dishonest means.  All one must do is accept oneself and be understanding.  Then you may enter Sanctuary.

A Memo

There are many dark and light forces at work on this spherical mass of rock we call earth.  The biggest mistake a man can make is to bear the world upon his own shoulders, for he will surely collapse.  It is for this reason that desperate and wise men alike call upon a higher power to assist them in a life that all have lived and few have truly loved.  How many desperate good people do you think call upon God and his angels for protection, success, and wealth everyday?  It is because independence is impossible if you wish to survive in this chaos filled wilderness we call space.

We live in a world filled with people consumed by greed, fear, grief, lust, ignorance, and hate.  Man refuses to love his neighbor for fear of being rejected of some form of payment, whether it be love, acceptance, time, tranquility, or money.  Instead man takes these things from his neighbor unjustly.  Then the neighbor feeling cheated takes these things from others, and so on and so forth.

It is up to the men and women of today to learn how to treat their fellow man, so that the children will learn.  This will ultimately lead to a better world tomorrow, but just as the farmer doesn't yield crops without planting seeds first, we must also create these changes in ourselves today.  Overcome fear, greed, lust, ignorance, and hate; then we will live in peace.

Leaves

The tree stands solitary
Undisturbed by the violent wind
Buds emerge at long last
The eternal winter has ceased

The tree stands solitary
Young leaves blow in a summer breeze
The sun breathes life and warms the earth
The youth of summer is at hand

The tree stands solitary
Leaves change colors with age
The wind blows until all have touched earth
Dead leaves stain the ground in fall

The tree stands solitary
Naked as the snow violently falls
Burrying the dead leaves underneath
So is life

The tree stands solitary

Update, Advice, and a quote

I've noticed that I haven't wrote any articles or poems in a while.  My sincerest apologies!  I've been enjoying the journey of life.  I used to only write when I was deppressed so I've decided to write when I'm okay as well.  Or is it true, that pain breeds beauty?  Why must we suffer to enjoy peace?  I geuss taking things for granted is in our human nature.  We try our best to hold fast to our virtues and principles, yet there are still laws in place in the universe that keep us in line.
I've been in a beautiful relationship with a beautiful girl for a little over seven months now.  And although we have to work at it daily, it is definitely worth it.  Some of the young men out there might suffer in the relations department.  Trust me.  I know.  My advise is for your happiness as well as those around you.  Be yourself.  The person you are inside is beautiful weather you believe it or not.  You don't have to be "cool", "popular", or "good looking".  Just be yourself.  A tree can't be a bird because it can't fly.  But, a bird can't be a tree because it would die.  When you understand this you will find peace in yourself.
I've been thinking.  "Why do I write poems?  No one really reads them.  So why do it?"  I think I've found my answer.  I do it because I love doing it.  I do it for me.  It is what I will leave behind for the world to enjoy.  It is my mark.  It is my passion.

"Those who laugh at you in public, cry in solitude."-Me

Cell

Hardened is the mask
Scratching marks into the wall
Throwing rope in false hope
The abyss is too deep

Wrapped in a cloak of deceit
The man becomes one with his lie
For if the truth could be told
Then the man himself would die

Man seeks to ease his guilt
By giving false aid to the mass's
Although he mends other wounds
He only widens his own

Serenity

A leaf encased in the first wind of fall
A moment staring into the eyes of medusa
Blood drips from the edge of the warriors Steele
Eternal nostalgia and releif of the senses

My soul passes over dunes of sand
I inspect every grain with closed eyes
What will we find here?
What are we searching for?

Me Everyday

ME EVERYDAY

Body language pt.1

If a pictures worth a thousand words then a facial expression is worth a million.  Have you ever looked at someone's face and instantly knew things about them that you shouldn't of known under those means?  This happens everyday!  To the untrained eye these moments can be mistaken as magic, hunches, gut feelings, etc.  However there is so much more there.  Our body's project our thoughts and emotions!  It's called body language!  Here's a few tips so that you all can identify peoples emotions/feelings/thoughts just from looking at them;
1.Energy=Their View
The amount of energy someone puts into their expressions can tell you how they view a subject or activity.  Ex. A woman is talking to a stranger and she appears to be in a hury.  This means she cares little about the topic.  Short mumbled answers mean the person holds a contradicting opinion on a topic.  Louder responses mean there is interest, and a smile indicates more interest.

Power

You ever feel like you could conquer the world?  I don't know if it's a legitimate feeling, or a false sense of invincibility.  Sometimes when I wake up though I feel like all I have to do is bob and weave my way to the throne.  Honestly it feels good.
If I wasn't anti-establishment I'd be president by 40.  However, I have my morales that I refuse to break for anyone.  Although being president would be a fitting role for someone of my status.

Questions for Akasha

What's the meaning of life?
Is there life after death?
Is there a god?
Are we alone?
Why is anything what it is?
Is there such a thing as evil?
Is there such a thing as good?
What's the secret to happiness?
Is a utopia possible?
Can we be immortal?
Do we want to be immortal?
Is escaping reality negative?
Can one know everything?

I have come to the conclusion that knowlage is comfort in this chaotic, spatious, and extravagent universe.

Life and Death

Yin and yang are ever present.  Sometimes reminding us of how precious life is, other times forcing us to realize how precious life is.  Every day we wake up and go about our day.  Do we ever stop and realize that everything we are doing, and I mean everything, is unnecessary and pointless.
You hear men talk of what they wish to acomplish before they die.  None of us dare tell that man, or ourselves for that matter, that all his goals and hopes will mean nothing when he is dead.  Every moment is fleeting and full of worth.  A second is worth more than a billion dollars cash.  And time has no refunds.
I've spent many sleepless nights pondering my future and my death.  I've thought of every possible outcome.  Preperation?  Or control?  What do I hope to accomplish?  Many of my poems speak for me on this issue.  The problem is it's not an "issue".  It's the end of the book.  The back cover.  The thing people will look at to get a taste of what the contents inside hold.  Life is indeed a book.  You and nature are the author and illustrator(I like books with pictures).  Ask yourself.  When you're book is over, do you want people to read it, or put it back on the shelf where it will gather the eternal dust of forgotten peasants, priests, and fools.

The Older I Get

Ok so I'm only 18.  However, I want to share things I've learned to like and dislike as I revolved around the sun.  Old folks always say "you'll understand when you're older." and "what do you mean you don't like brussel sprouts?!".  Sad though, the kid who wanted to always be the same has changed emensly.  Although I'm still not fond of brussel sprouts.
When I was a preteen until I was 16 and a half I loved rap music.  I thought it was so cool and witty.  I used to listen to eminem and lil Wayne and fantasize about being a rapstar.  I once wished I was born in the ghetto and black so I could better fulfil my "dream".  Now rap just seems dumb and simple.  If Cheif keif(a rapper with downsyndrome) can do it then it must not be as complicated as I once thought.  I don't hate rap though.  I just think it requires zero thought and is easy.
I used to be a sports nut!  I was varsity wrestling freshman year!  And Ohio is one of the most competitive wrestling states.  I also wrestled at a weight consisting of primarily upperclassman.  I went to nationals in Greco roman.  I won a few matches at districts.  I was good.  Now I'm more into naruto and pokemon.  I'm lazy and weigh 238!  That's a little under 100 lbs above my wrestling weight!  And you know what?  I'm happier than I've ever been!  I have a beautiful girlfriend!  That's something that I never got out of wrestling!  However I have no regrets and am loving everyday.

Road Trip

Distance

What do you say to the drowning
Who claim they like the water
What do you say to the burning
Who claim they like the warm

If I don't tell you my secrets
Does that mean I cannot trust
If I disassociate my soul
Does that mean I'm not alive

Cute quote I just thought of

Colorado has legal weed. Tennessee doesn't. Shouldn't we switch the names of the mountains?

Missing Planes and Flying Unicorns

Well I'm a bit late on this one, but fuck it.  So appearently some plane in Malaysia has gone missing. On board were a bunch of Chinese and I heard a couple Americans.  Not that it matters.  We all end up in the same dirt.  Anywho I can't watch the news without hearing about this crap.  Now, I realize people are probably dead because of this. But, I'll be happy to inform you that mcdonalds stock is doing well, despite, the fact that more people died of improper diet yesterday than in this dumb phantom plane.  Oh but does the news cover that? No.  They're more concerned about scaring potential flyers into pushing bills that will ultimately take away the few rights we have left.  Also, don't tell me there wasn't a perfectly traceable RFID chip somewhere on that plane.  That shits in my frickin food, so it sure as he'll better be in those planes.
So, morale of the story is this. If you're spoon fed your reality from a television you'll never get out of your high chair.  Unicorns aren't real.  Neither are ghost planes. Thank you.

I'm back!

Sorry I haven't posted any poems in a while, I've been spending lots of time with my girlfriend, doing schoolwork(well some schoolwork), and live streaming on twitch.  I know I don't have any religious readers at this point but I hope to in the future so stay tuned.  From now on I am going to try to bring more of a literary variety to the blog.  I'll still post poetry but I want to dabble in some other forms of literary expression (articles, short stories, rants, charts, etc.).
I am currently on my way to Florida with my gf and her family, and I gotta say, I'm enjoying it!  At first I thought it would be kind of awkward but it's actually surprisingly comfortable.  I geuss when you have an anxiety disorder you expect every event that doesn't involve potato chips and xbox to be a treacherous journey through the depths of hell.
I'm still trying to become a social worker/therapist, although I'm considering a minor in computer science.  I geuss no matter how far off in lala land I travel, video games bring me right back to here and now.
I hope at least some of you made it this far.  If you did congrats!  And happy reading!

The Sun

As the sun warms the earth
So does she warm my heart
Her spell is overwhelming
I welcome the feelings freely

She is my sun
I am her orbit
She keeps me spinning
I keep her shining

The Anchor Parable

The ship was at sea
The captain gave his order
"It's time to withdraw anchor!"
A particular sailer would do this
He always had
When he tried to pull it up
The anchor refused to budge
The sailor dove in the water
Swam down to the sea floor
He would lift the anchor
Grabbing hold of the anchor he grunted
Still it wouldn't budge
He kept tugging away
Still it wouldn't budge
The man was in need of air
But more in need of anchor
He would get that anchor
After all
He always had

Turkey's

Disregard pumps the blood through the veins of society

A naive happiness enshrouds the masses in line

The blade is raised on the guillotine as the corpse is sided

They plump the turkey to enhance the coming feast
